When we invest in the health and knowledge of young people, we invest in the future and that belief drove us straight to the classrooms of Government Day Secondary School, Wukari.
Through our Healthy Minds, Healthy Bodies and Brighter Futures project, the Luminary Outreach Foundation recently visited GDSS Wukari for a school outreach that left both students and facilitators inspired. The session covered everything from personal health hygiene equipping students with practical knowledge to take better care of their bodies to chess as a tool for mental fitness, sharpening critical thinking and strategic reasoning in young minds.
The goal was simple but powerful: give these students real tools. Tools to make healthier choices, to think more critically, and to begin building the kind of future they deserve.
Watching the students engage, ask questions, and move chess pieces across the board with growing confidence was a reminder of why this work matters. Potential is everywhere, it just needs the right environment to grow.
We leave Wukari more committed than ever to nurturing that potential, one school at a time.
